Heritage is not just a series of paintings - it's a tribute to the indomitable spirit of Iranian people, especially the Iranian women, their resilience and grace amidst trials and tribulations.
Each brush stroke tells a story of courage and beauty often overlooked.
Since 1979 the Iranian people have had to fight for their basic human rights and freedoms. Amidst these challenges, the beauty of Iranian culture and its people endure.
Our culture is rich, vibrant, and steeped in history - a truth reflected in each canvas. Every painting, a love letter to my people and their remarkable heritage.
Through 'Heritage', I wish to share with you the untold stories of strength, the pulsating heart of Iran, and its incredible women. It is a celebration, an homage, and an invitation to witness a world painted with resilience and love.
Azadeh embodies the fierce and unrelenting spirit of the woman who lives inside Iran today, fighting against systemic oppression from within. Her name means “free,” a tribute to her unwavering defiance and pursuit of justice. She represents the countless women who risk their lives daily to speak truth to power, challenge mandatory veiling laws, and push for a freer, more equitable future. Azadeh is the soul of the resistance.

Shirzad, meaning “born of a lion,” honors the women who came of age in Iran before the 1979 revolution — women who witnessed a more open and evolving Iran. She carries the memory of a vibrant culture full of possibility and progress. Rather than dwell in the past, Shirzad stands as a powerful reminder of what was — and what can be again. With wisdom forged through experience, she leads with quiet strength, inspiring new generations to reclaim their voice and shape a freer future.

Firouzeh represents the Iranian woman born in the diaspora — one who has never lived in Iran but carries the country's memory and pain in her bones. Her name, meaning “turquoise,” echoes both beauty and strength. Though she lives abroad, Firouzeh is deeply connected to her roots, using her voice, platform, and privilege to advocate for the people of Iran. She is a bridge between worlds — a keeper of culture and a fierce ally in the fight for freedom.

Omid, meaning “hope,” represents the generation of women born in Iran after the 1979 revolution — women who have grown up under strict laws and limited rights. She has never experienced the freedoms once possible in her country, yet she continues to push against the constraints placed on her. Omid reflects the resilience of a generation that was never given a choice, yet still finds ways to resist, endure, and imagine a different future.

Noor, whose name means “light,” represents the Iranian woman forced to flee her homeland as a refugee. Though she left much behind, she carries her identity with her, illuminating the darkness with a fierce hope for a better tomorrow. Noor is a reminder that exile does not dim the flame of belonging or silence the call for justice. She is a symbol of endurance, advocacy, and unwavering love for a free Iran.
